The Sims 4 - I'm A Lover Challenge: Not So Joyous Birthday (Chapter 1.19)
Out of all the celebrations that have past and are coming up, this is the celebration that made me felt bittersweet. It was Gunther's birthday. Birthdays are meant to be joyous occasions but it is not when the age we are celebrating is an elder. Gunther becoming an elder means that the time we have with him is on a countdown.
I decided to celebrate Gunther's birthday at the beach villa where we had our honeymoon. When we arrived at the villa, I went straight into making the cake while our two little toddlers took a nap on the couch.
As for Gunther, I got him to go swimming so he does not see the cake that I'm making for him.
After I was done making the cake, I went to join Gunther in the pool for a splish splashy afternoon while our kids continued to nap.
Now that we have two kids to care for, we don't have as much romantic time together as before. I used to love blowing kisses to Gunther but now it seems like it's been quite awhile since I last blew him a kiss. With only both of us in that moment, it's the opportunity for me to blow him a kiss and be romantic.
After some romance in the pool, it was time for Gunther to blow out the candles on his birthday cake. It was Gunther's last moments as an adult and he had to do that cool pose.
As I watched Gunther blew out the candles, I was overwhelmed with emotions.
We all enjoyed a slice of the cake after the candles were blown out.
Then I got everyone to dance. I was surprised by Gunther's dancing. He could still dance so well with the big moves even though he's an elder.
Little Sophie also surprised me with the big moves.
Poor little Sawyer couldn't dance and felt sad when he saw how well his father and sister danced. Gunther cheered him up by shooshing him around in the air to show him that he can also dance.
It was almost midnight and the kids were tired. After putting them to sleep, I decided to have some alone time with Gunther and got him to stargaze together.
We had a few hours the next morning before we had to leave the villa. While we were watching TV, Gunther and I decided to be romantic thinking we will not be seen by the kids since they were focused on watching the TV.
It was an absolutely wrong thought and Sawyer caught us flirting.
Not only is Gunther aging, our two little ones are growing up. Sawyer just became a toddler and coming up next is Sophie's birthday.
